On May 23, 2011, the arts and cultural community will join members of the labor community and others to participate in a Tribute event to honor the late Manny Fried, "One More Monday With Manny" in Asbury Hall at Babeville.

We will be honoring Manny's life and times as a playwright, actor, union organizer, novelist and teacher. We invite his numerous friends in the various communities that he touched (labor; theatre; arts; Buffalo State College and others) to join us to celebrate a legend. We are so pleased that Manny's daughters, Mindy Fried and Lorrie Rabin, and many of his other family members will be able to be there with us. Music is by Erie Lackawanna Railroad Band.

Manny's family has donated a number of Manny's manuscripts as well as "BOILERMAKERS AND MARTINIS" (his one-man show) DVD's and numerous other items for a silent auction at the event. Proceeds will benefit the "Give For Greatness" campaign in memory of Manny Fried.
