"The Band provides high quality performances throughout the WNY community with programming that spans a wide range of musical interests." - David Abrahamian, President, American Legion Band of the Tonawandas

What We Do:

The award-winning American Legion Band of the Tonawandas was formed in 1929 and is an all-volunteer Not-For-Profit Corporation.  Concerts are performed year-round in area schools, theaters and parks.  The Band has a long history of performances on the stages of Artpark, the Riviera and Palace Theatres.  During the summer months, the Band performs a number of parks concerts and parades throughout Western New York.

Why We're Great:

The Band has been recognized internationally, has won 18 National Titles and is considered to be one of the finest community bands in the country.  The Band has been videotaped by P.B.S. for a nationally televised special portraying the band of John Philip Sousa.  The Band has performed in the Sydney Opera House and in Carnegie Hall where the group received three standing ovations.

What We Need:

The Band is in need of five new sousaphones, snare drums, volunteer equipment truck drivers.
